Refreshed 2016 Suzuki Ertiga to make local debut soon
The facelifted Ertiga will arrive soon after Suzuki Philippines put up the preview website of the compact MPV. First revealed during the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show, the refreshed compact MPV gets a more sophisticated exterior and new interior features.
Beginning with its exterior, the updated Ertiga gets a tweaked front fascia. The black grill has been replaced with a new three-bar chrome grill while the headlights get a minor redesign as well. Also new is the front bumper which features a more contoured shape, along with faux chrome accents on near the foglights.
The side profile relatively remains the same, apart from the new multi-spoke alloy wheels. Images of the 2016 Ertiga's rear were not provided but is highly likely it will retain its current appearance.
Based on the other teaser images, the compact MPV will be fitted with an engine start/stop button, new 50:50 split folding third row seats, rear parking sensors and what appears to be a new infotainment system. The predominantly beige interior has been retained however.
It is expected that the 1.4-liter K14B inline-four engine will be carried over, along with the option of having it mated to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic gearbox.
Suzuki Philippines has yet to announce the arrival of the updated 2016 Ertiga.
