Mitsubishi will be arriving at this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon with concept cars that are set to take on the great outdoors. The concept vehicles will come in the guise of two Outlander PHEVs and two Delica D:5s that have unique exterior finishes and new equipment for carrying extra gear.
First up is the Outdoor Gear Concept. Aesthetically, both the Outland PHEV and Delica D:5 share a similar finish; Pearl White Matte paint that is then accented by streaks of orange.
The Outlander PHEV sports a similar look but gets multi-spoke alloy wheels and a roof-rack that can also stow mountain bikes. The Delica D:5, on the other hand, gets a more aggressive look with a matte black bumper, rugged alloy wheels wrapped in off-road tires.
Next is the Active Camper Concept. Just like the first concept, the two models get the same exterior finish. Both are painted in Matte Silver and roof-racks.
The SUV gets shiny multi-spoke alloy wheels, large PHEV decal on the side, a roof box and snow camouflage graphics on the side skirts. Over to the van, it has black multi-spoke alloys, simple roof-rack and snow camouflage decals on the side.
Both will be present at the annual auto show from January 15 – 17, 2016.
