It would appear that the debut for Nissan's compact crossover is getting closer and closer. The Japanese automaker has launched a teaser site for the Kicks which, according to Nissan CEO, Carlos Ghosn, is slated to arrive in the first quarter of 2016 in Brazil.
The new compact will be built in Nissan's Resende Industrial Complex in Rio De Janeiro. It will be built alongside Nissan's compact models such as the March and the Versa (Almera). As for the teaser, it only shows the outline of the Kicks and product highlights are not mentioned.
Despite the limited information, the public can expect styling cues from the Kicks Concept to make it to the production model. Likely design details to appear in the production model include the V-Motion grill, sweptback headlights and the wide bumper, commonplace in Nissan's current lineup.
“Nissan invented the first crossover in 2003, with the Murano. Since then, we've established our global crossover leadership with vehicles like JUKE, Qashqai and X-Trail – which have been great successes. The Kicks will bring Nissan´s unique Crossover expertise to more regions,” said Ghosn.
