The new Audi S1 hatchback has a similar A1 model framework
Audi has revealed the 2014 Audi S1 and S1 Sportback; the performance versions of the A1 premium subcompact hatchback.
The new hot minis feature a sporty front bumper, mesh grill, and a xenon plus headlights with a touch of red. On the rear, it has LED taillamps with new, horizontally structured graphics. The 2014 S1 can also be optionally available to have a sculpted roof spoiler that is mounted on the car’s tailgate. It has two exterior colors – Vegas Yellow and Sepang blue.
The interior of the car has an overall dark tone finish. The pedals are finished in brushed stainless steel to add contrast to the car’s interior. It also has a standard Milano leather seats combined with Olympic cloth upholstery. Adding to its interior is the six-speaker single CD audio system with auxiliary iPod connection and SD card reader which is linked to a 6.5-inch retractable color display.
Under the hood the 2014 Audi S1 and S1 Sportback both have a turbocharged 2.0L TFSI engine that can generate up to 231 PS with 370 Nm. Power is transmitted via a six-speed manual transmission and a standard quattro all-wheel drive system. The S1 and S1 Sportback can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.8 and 5.9 seconds respectively. Both have a top speed of 250 km/h.
