Suzuki Philippines Inc. rolls out its all new Suzuki Kizashi and introduces it to the highly competitive D-segment of the automotive industry.
The luxurious yet sporty Suzuki Kizashi, which started as a concept car way back year 2007 have finally come to our shore. The all new Kizashi will be Suzuki Philippines' first flagship model into the D-segment, which have been long an unfamiliar territory for them.
“So, yes, the Suzuki Kizashi is not just Suzuki's new flagship model, but more than anything, it is indeed a sign of even greater things to come for Suzuki” was Mr. Satoshi Uchida, Suzuki Philippines' President last words during his opening speech.
Exterior design and dimension
The Kizashi's fascia greatly resembles other Suzuki models, the front grille adds a feeling of sportiness to it. Aside from its grille, the sports bike inspired exhaust covers certainly compliments the sporty grille. The front and rear headlamp meanwhile adds curves to the bold body of the Kizashi. The Kizashi measures 4,650mm in length by 1,820mm in width by 1,480mm in height, making it slightly shorter than most of the cars in the segment.
Interior design and features
The interior gives off a sensous and luxurious experience and is equipped with most of the things that you can find on cars above its price range like the keyless engine ignition system, intelligent keyless system, automatic dual zone climate control and courtesy lights that can be found in and around the car.
Powertrain and suspension
The Kizashi comes with a specifically developed 2.4 liter engine together with a 6-speed continous variable transmission(CVT) with manual mode that ensures seamless gear changes for ultimate comfort and fuel efficiency. The suspension is the standard MacPherson strut for the front and multi-link suspension at the back.
Safety and Security
As expected from top of the line models, the Kizashi is equipped with class leading safety features like its smart keyless entry and start system, electronic stability program(ESP), ABS+EBD and brake assist, and six airbags.
Mr. Shuzo Hoshikura, Suzuki Phils. General Manager, excitedly described the Kizashi on his closing remarks during the launch: “Kizashi was built to be both an elegant and sporty vehicle. The elegance associated with more expensive cars are also found here, like the piano black finish on the B-pillars, chrome accents, 6 airbags and the brush-stroke style Kizashi emblem. Sportiness comes from the big 2.4L engine and the superior handling characteristics of this car’s chassis, making it the D-segment car that you would love to drive.”
Built in Suzuki's Sagara manufacturing plant in Japan, the Suzuki Kizashi has a competitive introductory price of PhP 1,288,000 and is available in three colors: Snow White Pearl, Super Black Pearl, and Premium Silver Metallic.
