Think you’re one of the best in Gran Turismo Sport? If so, do you think you have what it takes to beat Lewis Hamilton’s time in the game? Yes, we’re talking about six-time Formula-1 world champion and GT Sport Maestro Lewis Hamilton.

Polyphony Digital is set to release a new game mode in Gran Turismo Sport on November 28 officially called the Lewis Hamilton Time Trial Challenge. The new game mode will be part of an upcoming DLC, and no, this won’t be part of a free update. In fact, it will be GT Sport’s first paid add on.

As the name implies, the new game mode is effectively a one-on-one time trial against the Maestro himself. Hamilton personally set the lap times at all ten circuits in the game, and players must try to beat his time.

A total of ten challenges available in the new Time Trial Challenge at ten different circuits: Autódromo de Interlagos, Autodromo Lago Maggiore – GP, Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit, Dragon Trail – Seaside, Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit, Nürburgring GP, Nürburgring Nordschleife, Suzuka Circuit, and Willow Springs International Raceway: Big Willow.

Players who score bronze or better will also receive additional credits. Cars will also be awarded as special rewards for each extra challenge completed. Players who succeed in clearing harder conditions will receive a special prize with a design supervised by Lewis Hamilton’s Project 44 team.

To help players try to beat Hamilton’s time, they can watch replays and even activate Hamilton’s ghost car. They can also check driving data, braking points, and throttle operations as well. Some tracks even include a video tutorial where Hamilton provides advice. He will comment on your performance with voice messages.

For now, pricing for the DLC has not been announced. But we expect lots of players will be trying their best to beat Hamilton’s time. When else can you say you’re faster than a six-time F1 champ?
