At the moment, Geely Philippines only has crossovers in its lineup. Two to be exact – the Azkarra and the Coolray. Over in China though, the automaker has many other models to offer including sedans, crossovers, and even an MPV.

There is one thing missing though: something exciting to drive, like a sports coupe or sedan. Soon, that will change.

Geely has just revealed the all-new Preface sports sedan. If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it is the production model of the concept that debuted last year. According to the automaker, the Preface is a “sports orientated sedan that will reset the clock on Geely Auto performance”.

2021 Preface will be Geely

There are not a lot of details about the Preface just yet. The model is set to make its official launch in the fourth quarter of 2020. For the time being, however, we get to see the final design of the production model.

From the three photos provided, the Preface does have the sporty design mentioned by Geely. Upfront, it has neat-looking bumper with large air intakes. Front and center is Geely’s signature Cosmos Grill which is now even larger and feature vertical strips, and is flanked by slim LED headlights.

From the side, the multi-spoke wheels and single character line further add to the Preface’s sporty design. Though it may be a sedan, the rear profile makes it somewhat look like a four-door coupe. Meanwhile, a twin exit exhaust and an integrated diffuser complete the sporty exterior.

2021 Preface will be Geely

At the moment, Geely has not revealed any information about the Preface’s powertrain. Hopefully, it will have the power under the hood to match the automaker’s description of it being a “sports orientated sedan”. They did say that it uses the brand’s CMA architecture which was jointly developed with Volvo. In fact, it is the second Geely model to use the platform following the stylish Xing Yue Coupe SUV.

With Geely Philippines planning to bring in more models into the country, hopefully, the Preface is one of them. Based on styling alone, it certainly does look good.
