Halloween is just right around the corner, and it seems Lexus wants to join in the fun. The luxury marque recently introduced the LC Black Inspiration – a blacked-out special edition LC Coupe.
As the name implies, the Black Inspiration drops all chrome, which the LC has a lot of. In its place are black trim, giving the coupe a very sinister look matched with the Graphite Black paint. The signature spindle grille, headlight, and taillight cluster surround, and even the headlight cleaners are also finished in gloss black. To add to the sportier look, Lexus also fitted a fixed rear wing. All Black Inspiration models also come with a carbon-fiber roof, a new set of 21-inch wheels, and a Torsen limited-slip differential.
Apart from the chrome delete, wing, and the Torsen LSD, the rest of the LC remains unchanged. Lexus currently offers the Black Inspiration either as the LC 500 or the LC 500h hybrid. No changes were made to the powertrain either. With that, the 5.0-liter V8 continues to produce 477 PS and 540 Nm torque, while the 3.5-liter V6 hybrid has a total output of 359 PS and 500 Nm torque. If we had to choose, we'd go for the V8 to match its sinister exterior.
Inside, Lexus didn't change much, but the cabin is now finished in black. It also comes with 10-way power-adjustable front seats and a 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system. Lexus Safety System+ active safety and driver assistance system are also standard.
As cool as the LC Black Inspiration looks, it seems the sinister coupe will be a UK-exclusive model. Hopefully, Lexus Philippines decides to offer something similar in the future. A blacked-out LC looks so much better than with all the chrome.
