Here's the refreshed Mitsubishi Xpander before its official debut

Last week, Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia released a teaser for the 2022 Xpander. Set to be revealed at this year's Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), the MPV gets an aggressive redesign that gives it a fresh new look. We have yet to see it full, but it seems a photo of the new Xpander has already made its way online.

Based on the leaked image, the Xpander will come with new T-shaped LED headlights that will replace the vertical design from the current model. It will also come with longer and more prominent LED daytime running lights that give the MPV a more assertive look.

The front grille was also given a makeover with the upper portion now getting a two-bar design finished in black. Below that is another new trim piece with a honeycomb mesh instead of the predominantly chrome slats. Finally, new turbine-style alloy wheels will be available on the 2022 Xpander.

We have yet to see pictures of the Xpander's restyled rear. But if the previous spy photos are to be believed, the MPV will get a new rear bumper with vertical outlets. Meanwhile, the taillights will likely be carried over with some minor design tweaks.

With the 2021 GIIAS set to happen this week, we won't have to wait long before the refreshed Mitsubishi Xpander officially debuts. The question now is, when will it be available for the Philippine market?
