It's time to bid farewell to the Subaru Forester 2.0XT. Motor Image Pilipinas Inc., the official distributor of Subaru vehicles in the Philippines has announced a last call for the much loved turbocharged Forester as the next generation model will no longer be offered with a turbo. In fact, Motor Image Pilipinas says that the Forester XT will be dropped from their current model lineup by the end of 2018.
The current generation Forester XT is powered by a 2.0-liter FA20 turbocharged boxer engine that produces 240 PS and 350 Nm of torque. Those who know their Subaru's would also know that this is the same engine found in the WRX. It comes standard with Subaru's symmetrical all-wheel drive and X-Mode system combined with a spaceous interior.
As the vehicle will soon be discontinued globally, Motor Image Pilpinas is giving customers a better deal when buying the last few units. Customers can choose from any of the following when purchasing a Forester XT: A cash discount of Php 150,000; low all-in downpayment of Php 188,000; low monthly all-in package of Php 22,083; or a Zero interest with monthly amortization of Php 28,445. These are however subject to certain terms and conditions.
The next-generation Subaru Forester was launched earlier this year, and gets an updated design both inside and out. No official date has been announced, but it is expected to make a Philippine debut soon.
With the Forester XT being dropped, this will be the last chance for interested customers to purchase a brand new unit. Visit any Subaru dealership nationwide to test drive and avail of these new deals for the Forester XT.
