Think Subaru XV and more than likely you'll imagine a compact yet capable crossover that can seat five and carry a sizable amount of cargo. But since it's the smallest crossover from Subaru's lineup, it's not exactly seen as a vehicle that can go anywhere it pleases.
But what if you wanted to trade practicality for go-anywhere capability on your XV? Well, Crawford Performance might just have what you're looking for. This is the CDR Series lift kit upgrade that is available for 2018 models and beyond of the XV (aka Crosstrek in the US).
Inspired by the Crosstrek Desert Racer built by Subaru of America, the CDR Series lift kit provides the XV with a 2-inch lift at the front and a 1.5-inch at the back. This allows the crossover to negoiate tougher terrain conditions or trails.
It also comes with billet aluminum spacers that were designed to be resistant to corrosion. Sway bar link extensions, on the other hand, keep the factory sway bar positioning. What's more is that the upgrade will keep the factory ABS sensors, as well as the brake line mounts.
Other included components in the CDR Series package are two 2-inch aluminum strut spacers for the front, two 1.5-inch aluminum strut spacers for the rear, six long strut front extensions, four short rear strut extensions, and all necessary hardware. Do note that a realignment of the suspension will be needed after the installation of the lift kit.
Interested in getting one? Crawford Performance will only build a total of 10 kits for now and each one is priced at $549.95 (about PhP 27,500). The off-road tires, fender extensions, and other extras are sadly not part of the package.
