Vans like the Nissan NV350, more popularly known as the Urvan in the Philippines, are great multi-purpose vehicles. They can carry passengers, cargo, or just about anything that can fit inside the cabin.

Soon, you can even sleep soundly inside the big van as Nissan has introduced the new Multi-Bed feature for the NV350.

The NV350 Multi-Bed was developed by Nissan’s subsidiary, Autech, in Japan. Yes, that same Autech which used to build unique high-performance models such as the Skyline GT-R sedan in 1998.

Going back to the van, it features a three-piece flip-up bed system where the third and fourth row of seats would usually be found. As such, this NV350 only has two rows of seats. But hey, a large bed beats extra rows of seats right?

Due to it being a flip up the bed, it does not compromise too much on cargo space too. If needed, they can also be removed. Want to relax with all the space in…well, the NV350? Just fold out all three-pieces of the bed. Need space to work? The middle section can be taken out to make space for an optional table.

To give occupants who will be snoozing inside some privacy, the NV350 Multi-Bed is also available with curtains as options. Owners can also order railings to hang clothes and other items. Better yet, you can even fit a tarp onto the tailgate, turning it into somewhat like a tent on wheels.

With the Japan-spec NV350 available with four-wheel drive, the Multi-Bed is essentially Nissan’s version of a camper. Perfect if you want to escape from the city and want some alone time with nature and the environment. The only thing missing would be a shower and a kitchen.

As cool as the NV350 Multi-Bed is, it is highly unlikely we will ever see it arrive in the Philippines. Still, we suppose it wouldn’t be too hard for Nissan Philippines to bring in all the Autech accessories to fit onto local NV350 units. You may check out all the accessories on the Autech website
