Honda Motor Company, with the theme 'Live Outside the Box', is going all-in at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show with vehicles ranging from mass production, utilitarian to concepts and turbo hybrid racers.
The highly anticipated successor to the S2000 will finally be unveiled and it smaller in more ways than one. With a 660cc engine, the S660 Concept may get a kei-car classification and may be offered only in Japan.
Fans of the NSX will be happy to see the concept model that will sport both turbo and hybrid technology. Called the NSX Sport Hybrid Concept, it uses a V6 engine complemented by 3 electric motors (1 boosts the engine while the other 2 works the rear wheels) sending power via a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
Another concept is an Urban SUV model (featured as the main photo). Details are still extremely scant but reports say it is based on a Jazz with dimensions smaller than a CRV.
Honda will also launch the 4th model in the mini-vehicle N-series, the N-WGN. It is a light passenger wagon that Honda is premiering in preparation for worldwide sales.
Also on the list are mass productions cars Accord, which may get a plug-in hybrid system, and a new Jazz that may come with new-generation powertrain technologies to attain excellent fuel economy without sacrificing the fun aspect of driving.
