Porsche has unveiled their latest addition to the Macan crossover lineup. Called the Macan GTS, it is set to slot in between the Macan S and the Macan Turbo.
The GTS serves as an upgrade of the S model and differentiating the two from the outside are high gloss and matte black accents and trims. Standard in the Macan GTS are the 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels finished in Satin Black.
Inside, it features Alcantara and leather combination sport seats along with leather trims on the door panels. Being an upgrade over the Macan S, the GTS comes standard with the Porsche Communication Management system. In addition, the Macan GTS is equipped with an eight-speaker audio system with USB and auxiliary connectivity.
Like the S model, the Macan GTS uses a twin-turbocharged 3.0 liter V6. Sitting in between the S model and the Turbo, it puts out 365 PS and 500 Nm of torque and lays it down through a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The Macan GTS' power advantage over the S model stands at 25 PS and 40 Nm of torque. Porsche claims the Macan GTS can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in around 5 seconds and keep on going until 255 km/h if equipped with the Sport Chrono package.
The Macan GTS rides on air suspension with Porsche's Active Suspension Management system. This allows the driver to raise or lower the suspension to suit the driving conditions. In its lowest setting, Porsche says the Macan GTS sits 10-15mm lower than the Macan Turbo. In addition, Porsche has recalibrated the Stability Management system which promises to deliver an "even more dynamic driving experience."
