The Toyota GR Supra is one of the most modified platforms today. Owners have various aftermarket brands to choose from, whether they want to change how their car looks or increase the power. After all, the model has been on the market for over two years already.
Despite that, it seems there's no slowing the new modifications. Even Toyota tuner TOM's Racing introduced a new modified GR Supra. And no, it's not the same as the green widebody vehicle they revealed at the Tokyo Auto Salon a few years back.
Compared to the previous TOM's GR Supra, this new one is possibly the most subtle looking of the bunch. It's inspired by the late Paul Walker's A80 Supra, the actor famous for portraying Brian O'Connor in the Fast and Furious series. Interestingly, the GR Supra seen here is inspired by Walker's personal A80 Supra, not the iconic orange one he drove in the first Fast and Furious movie.
The changes to the GR Supra are very limited. On the outside, TOM's Racing fitted a one-off spoiler inspired by the original unit found on the A80 Supra. The body was repainted in matte white in honor of Walker's Supra of the same color. Interestingly, the front lip has been painted white instead of black on the standard model. 20-inch BBS LM wheels with a chrome lip and silver face round up the exterior change, again a tribute to the late actor's ride.
TOM's Racing didn't just add the parts and called it a day, though. To match the BBS wheels, KW ver.3 coilovers were added. The tuner also fitted a “TOM's Power Box”, increasing the power of the 3.0-liter straight-six to 426 PS. While no photos were provided, the tuner says the interior will also be customized and similar to the one found in Walker's Supra.
Despite the subtle modifications, TOM's Racing will be selling the Paul Walker-inspired GR Supra for JPY 12,970,000 or PHP 5,912,000. Only three units will be built. And if there are enough applications, the lucky owners will be chosen by lottery. Judging by the application form, the model will be exclusive to Japanese residents.
