Honda continues to roll out a wave of new and updated models this year. Following the big news surrounding the Civic Type R, along with new variants for the HR-V, Civic and City, the Japanese automaker turns their focus to the Odyssey.
This year, Honda has given their minivan an update with a mild facelift, as well as more kit. At the front, it gets a new Platinum grill, replacing the chrome from the current model. The 2017 Odyssey EX-V Navi also gets a new body kit in the for of reshaped front, side and rear lower garnishes. Rounding off the exterior changes are a set of 17-inch alloy wheels with a new design.
Convenience and safety features are also added to the top of the line Odyssey. It gains outer door courtesy lights to aid ingress, as well as add visibility in dark parking spaces. Also added are speed sensing auto door locks which is activated at 15 km/h. Lastly, Honda added one-touch power windows on all corners as a convenience feature.
Inside, features have been carried over from the current model. It retains the Ottoman seats that slide forwards and sidewards for a 2-2-3 seating arrangement. All seats are trimmed in leather. Carryover features include the7-inch Touch Screen Display Audio with Navigation, 9-inch Rear Entertainment System with DVD and HDMI playback capability, Multi-View Camera System, Smart Parking Assist, Blind Spot Information and Cross Traffic Monitor.
Its engine is also a carryover unit. It is the 2.4-liter i-VTEC mill with Earth Dreams Technology and it shifts via a continuously variable transmission. The updated Honda Odyssey is now available nationwide. Prices start at Php 2,393,000.
