The combined sales reports submitted by both the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) and the Association of Vehicle Importers and Distributors (AVID) yielded a grand total of 15,818 units* sold in March 2012.

According to the report from CAMPI and TMA, they sold a total of 13,631 units* in March versus the 10,681 units sold in February. Overall, CAMPI and TMA sales grew by 22%. The growth of CAMPI/TMA was driven by the rise in sales from Honda Cars Philippines (+266.9%), Ford Group Philippines (+45%), Toyota Motor Philippines (+30.6%) and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (+15.2%).

AVID experienced a lean month in March with cumulative sales of 2,245 units* sold compared to 2,881 units sold in February. Overall, AVID sales dropped by 22%.

With an industry (AVID/CAMPI/TMA) sales total of 15,818 units* in March versus a total of 13,502 units in February, the industry grew by 17%.

* - CATS Motors, being a member of both CAMPI and AVID, is logged on the totals of both associations, hence they would have registered as having sold double their actual figure. We subtracted their monthly sales of 58 units in March to account for this.
