Toyota Alabang Inc. has opened what they say is the largest Toyota service center not just in the country, but in Asia as well. The new center features the latest equipment to service and diagnose cars, as well as a test center to check the road worthiness of the vehicles that enter the facility.
The shop is located along Zapote Road and according to Toyota Alabang, it can accommodate up to 150 cars in a day. There is a large parking bay, along with lifts, paint booths and a paint curing area for newly resprayed panels and cars. Besides that, special test lanes allow personnel to do checks on the vehicle's suspension and brakes. To top it all off, the Toyota Alabang Service Center has frame straighteners for vehicles like the Hilux, Innova, and Fortuner.
Service reception covers a large area, as does the customer's waiting waiting lounge. To ensure quick service and turnover, three technicians simultaneously work on every vehicle. Before the unit is returned to the customer, it is given a car wash as well. Toyota Alabang says that they aim to finish servicing in an hour or less.
Lastly, the service center is certified to be a green building by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, also known as LEED. In essence, the facility is partially self sustaining with water and resources being used as efficiently as possible thanks to on-site renewable energy systems. Making it even greener is 5,500 square meters of solar panels which can generate up to 300 kilowatts to power operations.
