Last weekend, Toyota Motor Philippines broke ground to two new dealerships in Southern Luzon and Mindanao. TMP has begun construction of Toyota Calapan in Oriental Mindoro and Toyota Matina in Davao City. These two dealerships will become the 49th and 50th dealerships of Toyota in the Philippines.
For its new dealership in Davao, it is located in the economic area of Matina, Davao City which is the the largest metropolitan area in Mindanao. Toyota Matina is the third Toyota dealership, next to Toyota Davao & Toyota Tagum, to be built in Region XI. With a lot size of more than 8,000 sqm, Toyota Matina can house a total of 11 showroom car display units. Toyota Matina is expected to hold its inauguration on December 2016.
Toyota Calapan on the other hand will be located along the National Highway of Brgy. Biga, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. When completed, Toyota Calapan will be the largest car dealership in the Region IV-B with a lot size of more than 10,000 square meters. Toyota Calapan is expected to open its doors by the second quarter of 2017.
Aside from vehicle sales, these dealerships will also be one-stop shops for parts and vehicle servicing for their respective customers. Toyota says that this is in line with the brand’s plans of making its products and services more accessible to people who reside or work in nearby areas.
