Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has revealed that it will be displaying the Toyota FCV-R concept as well as the Lexus LF-LC concept at this year’s World of Toyota Motorshow. The concepts will be part of the highlights of the different heritage Toyota displays as well as the full model lineup of vehicles that will greet visitors at the week-long event at the World Trade Center in Pasay City from August 10 to 18. TMP says the two concepts will exude the brand’s new design philosophy and technology of cars in the future.
Toyota’s Fuel-Cell Vehicle Reality and Revolution (FCV-R) is a dedicated concept model that has been green-lighted for mass production sometime in 2015. The mid-size family FCV runs on hydrogen emitting nothing but water vapor. The FCV-R follows Toyota’s new family design which exposes a ‘W’ theme, the concept combines breakthrough innovation with ergonomic practicality and futuristic styling.
Meanwhile, Lexus will showcase its Future-Luxury Coupe (LF-LC) which made its global debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show. The concept shows off the brand's signature spindle-shaped grill supported by a front-engine and rear-wheel drive layout combined with Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive. The interior features the latest advanced technology with natural forms and shapes to create a driver-focused synergy of form and function.
The Toyota brand celebrates two important milestones this year, it celebrates its 75th anniversary as a global automotive company and 25th anniversary of Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation. The World of Toyota Motorshow celebrates this milestone for the number one automaker in the Philippines.
