Toyota Motor Corporation continues to push the boundaries of innovation in the automotive industry by continuously not only introducing features that make driving fun and safe but also developing technologies that will be mobility better as we move towards the future.

For the third year in a row, Toyota has paved the way for automotive modernization by filing for and getting awarded the most patents in 2016.

A report released by the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) shows that Toyota received 1,540 U.S. patents last year making them the only automaker in the list of top 20 patent awardees that included Apple, Google, IBM and Microsoft.

Even as other automaker’s debut and feature innovative equipment in their vehicles, this achievement by Toyota shows their commitment to finding better mobility solutions such as their Safety Sense and Entune 3.0 for motorists all around the world.
