Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP) continues to be the country's top automaker after recently winning its 16th Triple Crown. Garnering a record-breaking 183,908 units sold in 2017, TMP maintains its position as the number one brand in passenger car (PC) sales, commercial vehicle (CV) sales and in overall sales.

Leading the way for Toyota was the Fortuner which achieved a record milestone of 39,680 units sold. With it, the Fortuner trumped the best-selling Vios by 2,946 units at 36,734 cars sold.

Other Toyota models that saw significant sales figures for 2017 include the Innova (24,434 units), HiAce (21,178 units), Wigo (19,295 units), Avanza (15,463 units), and the Hilux (14,688 units).

Compared to 2016's sales performance, Toyota upped its game for 2017 by 16-percent and now has a 38.9-percent market share in the country. Also, its major models – the Wigo, Vios, Camry, Innova, Fortuner, Hilux and Hiace topped their respective segments.

On its 30th year, Toyota plans to continue to uphold its commitment to provide always better cars and always better ownership experience for its Filipino customers.
