Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has once again made history in the Philippine automotive industry by recording 10,123 units sold in July.
“Achieving more than 10,000 units in a single month is indeed a leap forward coming from a 9,000 unit sales level last May. We see this feat as another motivation to our Team to constantly find ways in serving our customers and partners even better," said TMP President Michinobu Sugata.
The company said that TMP's sales grew by 65-percent compared to its performance last July 2013. Toyota credits the Vios and the Innova with its recent success. The Vios recorded 2,480 units last month while the Innova sold 1,614 units. TMP says the said locally-manufactured Toyota models recorded their highest sales since it was first introduced in the Philippine market.
“We at Toyota Motor Philippines would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to our customers for making Toyota as their preferred choice of vehicle. We are pleased by the continuous support and belief they have shown leading to this sales milestone,” Sugata added.
Moreover, TMP's performance last month was further strengthened by the Wigo recording 935 units, the Hiace with 1,280 units and the Fortuner at 1,350 units. On a year to year basis, TMP has a substantial growth of 43-percent versus the first 7 months of last year with accumulated sales of 58, 635 as of July 2014.
