Toyota PH sold 8,000 units last month
Toyota Motor Philippines has set a new sales record by breaking 8,000 units sold in a single month last March. Toyota Motor Philippines’ (TMP) sales grew across the board tallying 8,840 units and the automaker says it’s the highest any manufacturer in the country has ever registered.
The new sales record was led by the sustained sales of the Toyota Vios at 2,290 units last March. This growth in sales was further reinforced by the newly introduced models in the first quarter such as the Corolla Altis, the Innova, and the Wigo.
“We are overwhelmed and grateful for the patronage our customers show towards our vehicles most especially towards our CKD models, the Vios and the Innova. This record breaking sales performance is indeed proof to the trust and loyalty our customers have shown to our brand. I would like to thank the public, for this feat would not be possible without them. Their faith in our brand inspires us to continuously give our best and move forward with even better products and services,” said TMP President, Michinobu Sugata.
“Last March 31, we introduced the all-new Yaris adding more value to our already formidable line-up. Just like our other newly introduced vehicles this year, we look forward to the support the customers will express towards the Yaris,” added Sugata.
On a year to date basis, TMP says they continue to remain strong in the Passenger car segment with 8,340 units sold, Commercial Vehicle segment with 14,383 units sold, and overall sales. All in all, the manufacturer experienced a growth of 34% in total sales with 22, 828 units as compared to last year’s total of 17, 061.
