It won't be long now until Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) launches its latest vehicle. Just a few days after prices of the 2020 Wigo were leaked, the automaker will officially be launching the refreshed hatchback online.

On June 15, 4:30 PM, TMP will be hosting the digital launch of the 2020 Wigo via Facebook and YouTube. This is the first time that the automaker will be holding a fully-digital launch of a new vehicle in the country.

Viewers will get to see the all-new Wigo up close inside and out, and be able to learn more about the vehicle. Also, Toyota will be making special announcements and will give viewers a chance to win prizes by participating in live online games. There will also be an exclusive online performance by popular OPM band Ben&Ben in celebration of TMP's newest vehicle.

First revealed in Indonesia three months ago, the updated Wigo gets an edgy makeover courtesy of redesigned headlights and sportier bumpers. It also gets new alloy wheel designs, clear cover taillights, and a more aggressive TRD body kit. The interior, meanwhile, largely remains the same apart from a new digital airconditioning system for high-end variants, new fabric seat patterns, and new engine start/stop button.

The 1.0-liter, inline-three engine will likely be carried over for the 2020 Wigo. It produces 66 PS with 89 Nm of torque and can be mated to either a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual.

With Toyota set to hold its first-ever vehicle launch online, expect future vehicle launches by TMP to be also held online amid the new normal.
