Here's something interesting at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Apart from the new model launches at Tokyo, it seems Toyota has snuck in a little teaser of what a crossover version of the Toyota Aqua (or Prius c in other markets) would look like.

The Prius c/Aqua was raised up with a taller ride height and suspension, new headlights with new LEDs, a new grille, gray plastic fender flares and moldings around the body. The more 'rugged' hybrid crossover also gets skid plates, larger foglamps, silver roof rails and chrome side mirrors to contrast the body.

The Aqua Cross (as its called) seems to have taken a bit of inspiration from the Subaru XV, particularly with regards to the wheel design, rails and moldings. The display is actually part of other concepts of the Aqua designed to make the hybrid more appealing to different customers like the Aqua Air (open top version), the Premi Aqua (luxury version), the Aqua G Sports (sport tuned by Gazoo Racing) and the Aqua Cross.
