It has only been a few days since Toyota revealed the updated 2020 Hilux together with the 2020 Fortuner in Thailand. Now, if you ever wanted to see what the various variants of the facelifted Hilux look like, you can make your way over to the Toyota Thailand website and check out their configurators.
Interestingly, the Hilux Revo Z-Edition variant has more customization options in the configurator as compared to the other Hilux models. Specifically, you can modify the Hilux Revo Z-Edition in various ways you want including fitting aftermarket wheels, lowering the pickup, and even adding a carbon fiber hood. The wheel options alone have the most options to choose from such as the Volk Racing TE37, CE28, and RE30. Curiously, choosing an aftermarket wheel changes the bolt pattern from a 6-lug to a 5-lug bolt pattern.
Aside from the four OEM colors, you can also change the color of the body to something louder and help you stand out such as yellow, pink, or even purple. There are also various grills options you can choose from in the configurator – from standard chrome, blacked out, or carbon fiber.
We are not sure if Toyota Thailand will actually be offering the Hilux Revo Z-Edition from the dealership in pink and slammed on TE37’s with a carbon hood like the example above. But, we bet it is only a way to let interested customers see the various ways the Hilux can be kitted out from the factory. A note below the configurator says “The image is for illustrative purposes only. The displayed accessories are not genuine parts from the company. Not in the condition of the car quality warranty.” Still, it would be a lot cooler if they did though.
Don’t be surprised if you do see modified examples of the new Hilux, similar to the ones we made in the configurator, roaming the streets of Thailand soon. The Land of Smiles is known for its modified pickup truck scene. In fact, they even have a racing series dedicated to pickup trucks alone.
