Ever wanted a more souped-up Camry right out of the box? You're in luck as Toyota (with the help of TRD) is preparing something special at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show. Set to make its official debut in the City of Angels is what appears to be high-performance versions of the all-new Camry, as well as the Avalon.
Toyota USA recently posted a teaser photo on Twitter which showed the two sedans side by side. While we only get to see a portion of the TRD Camry and Avalon, it's quite clear TRD was busy working their magic on both cars. For starters, the two four-doors come with a sportier front bumper, a chin spoiler with red accents, and roll on TRD alloy wheels.
While it may look like the TRD Avalon and Camry only get an appearance package, we're not going to be surprised if TRD was also busy under the hood and chassis as well. The 3.5-liter V6 on both cars may get additional horsespower and torque for more get-up and go. A TRD sports exhaust may also be part of the upgrade to make it breathe better and let out a sportier sound. The two cars may also come with better handling if TRD decides to retune the suspension for sharper cornering.
Additional details of the TRD Camry and Avalon will be revealed closer to launch. Both four-door sedans will make their official debut at the 2018 The Los Angeles Auto Show at November 30 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
