New car reported to get new technologies, Valvematic
In just two weeks, the North American arm of Toyota will be unveiling the new Corolla, marking the first time that the production version of the next gen model will break cover worldwide.
In their Facebook page, Toyota USA hinted at the launch of the Corolla: “Prepare to meet the NEW 2014 Corolla. Get excited for June 6, really excited…"
Details surrounding the next generation Toyota Corolla are still tightly sealed, but reports indicate that the design is heavily based on the Corolla Furia Concept. Also, there are reports that the 1.8 liter engine will remain a standard for the U.S. market, though it will be supposedly getting Toyota's Valvematic; the company's version of continuously variable valve timing.
Locally, the next generation Toyota Corolla Altis will reportedly be launched late this year, after the official debut of the all-new Vios.
