It seems Toyota isn't just moving forward, they're moving fast.
According to Edmunds.com, in a recent press conference at the New York Auto Show, Toyota Motor Sales USA VP Bob Carter said that the 2014 Corolla will be revealed sometime before the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show in the latter part of November.
Also, Toyota announced that by the time the LA Auto Show opens, the Corolla will already be on sale; a notable pace considering that the concept was revealed in Detroit this year.
Already speculations as to which auto show will play host to the unveiling of the production version of the Corolla Furia are abound, given the time frame between now and November. SEMA is coming up, but pundits believe that a SEMA unveiling is unlikely. Perhaps Toyota will be holding a separate launch and unveiling for the Corolla, given the vital nature of the model for the Japanese automaker?
We'll find out soon enough.
There are no details as to the powertrain options for the next Corolla, but it will reportedly be larger and longer than the outgoing model, and will be designed around the Iconic Dynamism theme of the Furia concept.
