It was only back in August when Lexus introduced the refreshed 2019 RC. Together with its debut, it featured an updated styling, similar to that of the flagship LC. Now, it seems as though Toyota's in-house tuner, TRD, has been busy creating a hot of new, more aggressive parts for the updated RC .
Introduced as the Lexus RC F Sport Parts, the new package include a new wrap around bodykit. Up front, there's a new lip coupled with a small canard located above the side air intake. There is also a new side skirt which runs the length of the RC F. At the rear, there are new carbon fiber ducktail spoiler coupled with a more aggressive diffuser. Completing the exterior makeover are the new side mirror covers and new lightweight forged aluminum 19-inch TRD wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
All the aero 'Sport Parts' fitted on the RC F are said to help improve air flow and generate more downforce. To further improve performance, TRD also installed a new sports muffler to improve the RC F's exhaust note. Underneath the car, there are also more chassis braces to help reinforce the body and improve handling. A new performance damper at the rear is said to help give a more comfortable, but better handling vehicle.
Like most of the parts offered by TRD, the F Sport Parts package does not come cheap. In fact, the package which includes the front lip, side mirror cover, side skirts, rear diffuser and muffler already costs 536,000 yen (Php 250,000) and are painted to match. Meanwhile, the TRD wheels and tires will set you back 846,000 yen (Php 395,000). As for the damper and chassis brace, they each cost 100,000 yen (Php 47,000). The canards alone cost 65,000 yen (Php 35,000).
Currently, the TRD F Sport Parts package is only being offered in Japan. There is still no word whether dealerships outside of Japan will offer the packages from TRD.
