It was earlier this year when Toyota revealed the 2018 Camry in Japan. The Camry revealed in Japan now looks identical to that of the US-model which features an aggressive front fascia combined with a more scuplted rear end that adopts the brand's 'Keen Look' design language. There is also the Camry Sport in the US (Camry WS in Japan) which sports an even more aggressive design than that of the standard model. But what if you wanted to take things one step further?
Toyota Racing Development (TRD) recently released a new kit for the Camry WS in Japan, which further enhances its aggressive design. For starters, there's a new wrap around kit which includes a front lip, side skirt, and rear spats which give the car a lower look. There's also a new ducktail spoiler and a new front grill. Rounding up the new TRD parts for the Camry WS are the quad tip stainless steel muffler and a new set of 19-inch TRD wheels.
This isn't the first time TRD revealed a kit fo the new Camry. Toyota's in-house tuning factory has previously released a TRD kit for the standard Camry but with less parts. Like the previous one, the new TRD for WS kit is mainly cosmetic with no power gains being made to the engine.
Price for the TRD kit for WS will set you back 190,000 yen color matched to your vehicle. The 19-inch TRD wheels and new exhaust cost 412,000 yen and 100,000 yen, respectively.
Toyota has yet to introduce the Asia-spec Camry. Given that it looks identical to that of its US counterpart, the Philippines will likely also be getting the Camry with the same design. The Japan version is offered with a hybrid powertrain with a 2.5-liter Dynamic Force engine. Other markes will likely be offered with the hybrid powertrain coupled with a 3.5-liter V6 engine.
