Jeep and Lego are giving everyone a good reason to be jolly this holiday season. Those that have always wanted to get a mini Wrangler Rubicon of their own will be able to have one starting next month.
This is the new Lego Technic Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, and it has the look, design, and “off-road capability” to match the actual vehicle itself. Made from 665 individual parts, the pint-sized Wrangler Rubicon comes with all of the similar features as the real thing. From its folding windshield, fold-down rear seats, 7-slot front grille, full-size spare tire at the back, and chunky fender flares; the Wrangler Rubicon Technic has it all.
The doors, as well as the hood of this particular Lego, can be opened to reveal the intricate details Lego has put on the mini 4x4. And since it's a more complex Technic model, it features a button-operated front steering system and a powerful axle-articulation suspension system that allows this to go over obstacles with ease. Size-wise, the Wrangler Rubicon measures 24 cm long, 13 cm wide, and 12 cm tall.
”The Jeep Wrangler is an icon in the off-road world,” said Lars Thygesen, Designer, Lego Technic. “The Rubicon has a lot of the iconic details loved by 4x4 fans the world over, so it was important to me to pack as many of the authentic, powerful features of the real vehicle into the LEGO Technic replica. I hope Lego fans and vehicle lovers enjoy all aspects, including the suspension, winch, and open-air design that we developed alongside the talented Jeep design team.”
Interested in getting one? It will be available starting on January 1, 2021, at Lego.com, Lego stores, and other global retailers. It will have a sticker price of $49.99 (or around PhP 2,401).
If you haven't bought a gift for that special someone this year just yet, perhaps you can give them this Lego Wrangler Rubicon once the holidays are over.
