Newly reborn TVR is set to unveil their latest model at the upcoming Goodwood Revival on September 8. The announcement comes after reports mention that TVR held a private viewing of the new model to a select few. Along with the announcement comes a lone teaser photo showing the car's oval shaped side-exit exhaust located just behind the front wheels.

“We are incredibly excited to be unveiling the new car at the Goodwood Revival. It’s the first time a global launch of a new car has occurred at the event, and it seems an entirely appropriate place for us to do it, with the marque’s motorsport heritage and an enthusiastic audience of dedicated car fans – and in our 70th anniversary year,” said Les Edgar, Chairman of TVR.

Co-developed by Gordon Murray Design, the new TVR model is rumored to bring back the “Griffith” nameplate, originally phased out in 2002. It is also said to be powered by a front-mounted V8 engine developed by Cosworth which produces approximately 480 PS. Combined with its supposed 1,200 kg weight, TVR says the car will be able to hit a top speed of 322 km/h and sprint from 0 to 96 km/h in less than four seconds.

To showcase their new model in over ten years, it will be joined with several classic TVRs to mark the company's 70^th anniversary. The launch at Goodwood Revival will also make TVR the first car manufacturer to launch a brand new vehicle at the event.

For those interested in the new TVR, the company will be selling the first 500 cars as part of the Launch Edition priced at under £90,000 ($115,800). The British marque mentioned that only a few slots are available. TVR will only re-open the ordering books when the date of its reveal draws near.
