UAAGI appoints new president to lead Chery, Foton
Chery and Foton Philippines' new president is Errol E. Dueñas
Chery and Foton distributor United Asia Auto Group Inc (UAAGI) has appointed its new president. Serving as the new leader of both Chery Auto Philippines and Foton Motor Philippines Inc. is Erroll E. Dueñas.
In his new role, Dueñas will be responsible for continuing the company’s forward momentum in the challenging pandemic-constrained environment. These include sustaining the success of its vehicle lineup and further enhancing the ownership and aftersales experience for Foton and Chery customers.
Dueñas will report directly to the company board, led by its new chairman and outgoing president, Rommel L. Sytin.
“I am sincerely honored by this appointment, and I am most particularly grateful for the trust that our new Chairman has accorded me. It's a substantial responsibility, but it also comes with so many opportunities for me to lead and learn from the best,” said Dueñas.
Sytin says that Dueñas brings with him a wealth of experience gained from close to three decades of working in the automotive industry with various established brands. Prior to his new role as UAAGI president, Dueñas served as vice president for the Customer Service Division (CSD) at UAAGI. With it, Sytin is confident that Dueñas will continue to improve both Chery and Foton’s performance in the market.
“With his new role as UAAGI President, complemented by his extensive expertise in after-sales, service, and customer relations, I am confident that his leadership, together with strong support from dealer partners, will help us improve both the sales and the customer experience to further grow the Foton and Chery brands in the market,” added Sytin.
Being a long-termer at UAAGI, Dueñas has helped roll out successful aftersales programs for both Chery and Foton. He will also spearhead the brands' strategic and innovative direction, sales operations, network, and acquisitions.
Despite the challenges set by the pandemic, Dueñas says he wants to ensure that both the company’s partners and dealerships expand as aggressively as possible.
“I am looking into executing programs and business game plans to further expand the corporation's growth into becoming one of the most diversified organizations in the country. These schemes are non-negotiable as we look forward to new workweeks ahead and of becoming the key catalyst of automotive commerce,” declared Dueñas.
