We are expecting the i3 Touring to officially join the lineup in 2027, as the long-roof companion to the upcoming Neue Klasse electric sedan. Unlike existing converted platforms, the estate sits on BMW’s dedicated, ground-up electric vehicle architecture, promising optimized interior packaging and improved aerodynamic efficiency.

The latest batch of spy shots offers a closer look at the wagon's overall proportions in natural daylight and everyday traffic conditions. Despite strategic camouflage wrapping the front fascia and rear end, the profile reveals a sleek, sloped roofline that tapers gently toward the tailgate, balancing practical wagon cargo capacity with a lower drag coefficient.

From the B-pillar forward, the i3 Touring is expected to mirror its sedan sibling, adopting the signature illuminated kidney treatment, vertical light signatures, and flush door handles characteristic of the Neue Klasse design language. At the rear, wide full-width taillight graphics appear under the wrap, framing a low load lip designed for easy boot access.

Under the skin, the i3 Touring will reportedly feature BMW’s sixth-generation eDrive technology, utilizing cylindrical battery cells and high-efficiency electric drive units.
