Mitsubishi reveals updated 2015 Lancer Evolution X

2015 model to be released solely in US market

Despite being discontinued in some markets in the world, the 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution will continue on in the US market with more features and kit that will be available for both the GSR and the MR variants.

For starters, all new models of the new Evo will now get side-view mirrors equipped with turn signals and drop cup holders.

The Premium Package for the GSR now includes a Sight and Sound audio package along with leather seats, a power glass sunroof, heated front seats, better sound dampening and a piano black console.

The MR’s features also include the sound dampening and the piano black console. Beyond that, the audio system of the MR is a 9-speaker 710-watt Rockford Fosgatesound system. Other features include a FAST-key entry system, auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlamps.

The engine of the 2015 Evo is based on the ever-powerful turbo-intercooled 2.0 4-cylinder DOHC engine that powered the Finnish rally racer Tommi Makinen to win 4 straight titles in the World Rally Championship.

The engine cranks out 295 PS at 6,500rpm with a torque rating of 406 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The transmission found on the GSR model is a 5 speed manual gearbox while the MR model sports the 6 speed Twin-Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission (TC-SST).
