Lexus' performance coupe will receive a new range of powertrain options for 2016 after the company recently revealed the 200t and 300 AWD variants. The new models, according to Lexus, will extend the line-up of the RC Coupe and will be made available with a more spruced up RC 350 F Sport.

In terms of exterior design, both the 200t and 300 AWD carry over the look of the pre-updated coupes as Lexus opted to focus on the new powertrains made available to the 2016 RC Coupe.

Under the hood of the RC 200t is the 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged inline-four that was first applied in the NX 200t. It produces 245 PS along with 350 Nm of torque and is connected to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that drives the rear wheels.

Next is the RC 300 AWD which is propelled by a modified 3.5-liter V6 that puts out 258 PS and 319 Nm of torque (standard 3.5-liter V6 in the RC 350 generates 317 PS and 378 Nm). The engine is then mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that delivers power to all four wheels.

Apart from the additional engine options, the RC 350 F Sport variant can now be specified with orange brake calipers and a limited slip differential (LSD). There is also a new coat of paint available called Eminent Pearl White which replaces Starfire Pearl.
