The current-generation Volkswagen Touareg is now available as a limited edition model after the automaker launched the Touareg Executive Edition. From the name itself, Volkswagen said it gets a myriad of executive features including a special paint job and interior trim.

Starting with the outside, the midsize SUV is finished in Malbec Red. According to the company, the special color pays tribute to the French red wine grape variety called Malbec. Meanwhile, the wheel wells are now fitted with 20-inch Mallory alloy wheels. Beyond that, the special edition Touareg can also be specified with other 20- and 21-inch alloys and comes standard with tinted windows and smoked rear taillights.

Inside, the Executive Edition gets Nappa leather seats that come with a diamond quilted pattern. Providing a striking contrast to the leather upholstery is the Tobacoo Brown contrast stitching. Also present inside the Touareg Executive Edition are ambient lighting, heated/ventilated front seats, wood trim, illuminated door sills and 'Executive Edition' badging.

When launched in Germany, it will be powered by a 3.0 TDI V6 that can be had in two output ratings. The entry-level version puts out 201 PS and 448 Nm of torque while the more powerful variant cranks out 258 PS and 579 Nm of torque. Both variants are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and 4Motion AWD system.
