2017 Volkswagen Jetta gets more features, updated engine
For 2017, Volkswagen Philippines has added more variants, features, and an updated engine for the Jetta. Starting off with its updated powerplant, the 2.0-liter direct injection turbo diesel engine now produces 150 PS and 340 Nm of torque. Still deliverng power to the front wheels is the same 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
Aside from the uprated engine, the 2017 Jetta also comes with more safety equipment. Safety features that will come as standard on all variants of the Jetta include: six airbags, electronic stabilization program and electronic differential lock with XDS. Available as extra options are forward collision warning front assist with autonomous emergency braking system and blind spot monitor with rear traffic alert.
Beyond safety, better in-car amenities have also been included in the 2017 Jetta, giving both driver and passengers a better ride especially with the leather seats. A “Keyless-Go” entry/exit system, voice control and sunroof also come standard. Additional options available include Power Driver Seats, Adaptive Cruise Control, Bi-Xenon Headlights with LED DRL's, and an 8-speaker Fender Premium audio system.
To give customers more option to choose from, the 2017 Jetta now comes in four variants – Business Edition+ at Php 1,300,000, Business Edition at Php 1,250,000 , Highline at Php 1,200,00, and Comfortline at Php 1,100,00. It also comes in eight different colors, Black, Platinum Gray, Toffee Brown, Cardinal Red Metallic, Reflex Silver, Blue Silk, Pure White, and Moon Rock Silver. Black color comes as standard for the interior trim. Beige interior however is available for the Business Edition+, Business Edition and Highline models.
