Volkswagen revealed the 2014 Polo for the Indian market. The company says it is infused with "best-in-class build quality, outstanding driving dynamics and excellent safety credentials."
The front fascia of the 2014 Polo is fitted with a new grill, restyled headlamps and bumper that is integrated with fog lamps and cornering lights. The rear gets a new bumper that is incorporated with a license-plate carrier and reflectors. Adding the finishing touch, the 2014 Polo sits on a 15-inch alloy wheels.
The automaker noted that the 2014 Polo is the "only premium hatchback in its segment in India, which has a 4-Star NCAP safety rating for adult occupant protection."
Inside, the 2014 Polo has a revamped interior features such as the use of fabric for the seat upholstery. Volkswagen says the hatchback also has a sportier steering wheel and silver-painted center console. Moreover, airbags are fitted as standard on all variants of the 2014 Polo.
The 2014 Polo is powered by either a three-cylinder 1.2-liter MPI, a four-cylinder 1.2-liter TSI turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 105 PS with 175 Nm of torque as well as an all-new 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine that produced 90 PS with 230 Nm of torque.
