Six different individuals highlight Volvo R-Design
Volvo Philippines formally introduced the S60 R-Design and XC60 R-Design during the company's first 'Night of The Arts' event which was held last February 10, 2015 at the Green Sun in Makati City.
Dubbed Art In Motion, the R-Design variants aimed to show that each and every car that Volvo makes was built with people in mind along with a sense of Scandinavian design, safety and comfort.
The event itself was highlighted by six different personalities which according to Volvo, have shown 'boldness and passion in their chosen fields' and has since shown the same characteristics of the R-Design models.
The individuals mentioned by Volvo include veteran journalist and current People Asia EIC Joanne Rae Ramirez, the late Philippine racing legend Jose 'Pocholo' Ramirez, singer-actor Raymond Lauchengco, 'Rebel' chef Roland Perez Laudico, glass artist Ramon Orlina and fashion designer Randy Ortiz.
Volvo compared the sporty design of the R-Design variants to Joanne Ramirez's charismatic way with words alongside Orlina's glass sculptures, giving the cars a sense of style, substance along with an imposing demeanor.
Chef Laudico's rebellious approach in the culinary world alongside Randy Ortiz's fashion credentials make up for the R-Designs' visual and interior flare like the alloy wheels, sport pedals, personalized interior LED lighting, nubuck textile sport seats and the Adaptive Digital Display.
In relation to the power and performance capability of the R-Design, the late Jose 'Pocholo' Ramirez and singer-actor Raymond Lauchengco were likened to the dynamism and deep exhaust note that the car is able to show.
Volvo states that their cars have always been about people since it is the people that uses their cars. With continuous and new developments on how new Volvos perform, the company aims to improve upon their current lineup of vehicles as well as their R-Design models.
