Volvo is hopping on the social media bandwagon as the Swedish carmaker chose Facebook to give fans and enthusiasts a peek of the shape of things to come for the brand.

Volvo's Facebook fan page now shows a silhouette of the upcoming Volvo V40, an all new wagon, ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut on March 6. There aren't any details (engines, features, etc.) and even the silhouette is just that, a silhouette, but a close look does show the V40 to have the new styling cues and curves that debuted with the S60.

On March 6, Volvo will also be having an online launch of the V40. You can watch the official launch, presented by Volvo Cars CEO Stefan Jacoby, live as it happens. There’ll be real-time Q&A sessions with designers and engineers, which you can contribute to via Facebook, Twitter and Skype.
