We want Honda Cars PH to bring 2025 Civic Si with 6-speed MT
Want Type R-like performance for a bit less?

If there's one more model of the Civic we wish to get here in the Philippines, it's the all-new Civic Si. Not only does it have a more powerful 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine under the hood but it comes with a proper 6-speed manual gearbox, along with other mechanical upgrades.
After launching the latest iteration in late 2021, Honda has revealed an updated version of the Civic Si for the 2025 model year, and boy are we green with envy with what the US market will get. While it still gets a boosted 1.5-liter VTEC turbo under the hood pushing 200 PS and 260 Nm of torque, Honda was busy giving the sedan better handling.

The automaker claims the Civic Si now comes with a stiffer chassis, and new lower B-pillar & rear door sill supports that increase torsional and bending rigidity. It also has retuned shock absorbers to match the increased body stiffness of the updated Civic Si.
The Si rev-matching technology was also given a once-over by Honda. It still comes with a lightweight single-mass flywheel which helps give the powertrain a snappy response. However, the rev-matching feature can now blip the throttle when shifting from second to first which will help drivers make the most out of the engine.
Style-wise, the 2025 Civic Si matches that of the regular refreshed Civic which Honda revealed earlier this year. It gets an updated front bumper, a new hexagonal pattern on the grille, and revised LED taillights with a darker appearance. Also present are the redesigned 18-inch V-spoke alloy wheels finished in matte black.

Other key exterior features include blacked-out side mirror caps and window surrounds, front & rear spoilers that aid in aerodynamics, and for the first time, a new Urban Gray Pearl paint job which used to be available only for the Accord and CR-V.
Hop inside and Honda gave the 2025 Civic Si new and upgraded features. These include a new 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, USB-C ports, a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.

For additional comfort, the Si-exclusive sport seats are now heated and come with built-in head restraints. It also gets new sport pedals and red contrast stitching on the doors, steering wheel, center armrest, shift boot, and leather-wrapped aluminum shift knob.

While there's little to no chance of Honda Cars PH offering the Civic Si, it's nice to see that Honda continues to offer a version of the Civic that sits below the top-of-the-line Type R. Those who really want to get a 2025 Civic Si, however, can perhaps ask a gray market importer to get one for them...at a price of course.
