Will the GWM Tank 500 PHEV debut in PH soon?
This year's MIAS could see GWM PH reveal the Raptor and Tank 500 PHEVs

We’ve already seen the Land Transportation Office (LTO) certify the GWM Haval Raptor plug-in hybrid (PHEV) for the Philippine market. With it, the PHEV crossover will likely make its debut soon, possibly at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).
However, that may not be the only brand-new model GWM Philippines could launch soon. The LTO has released newly homologated vehicles for the Philippine market, and the Tank 500 PHEV is one of the new additions. That’s right, the full-size electrified SUV has been certified for the Philippine market and it’s one interesting vehicle.

Its full name is listed as the GWM Tank 500 Hi4-T which signifies its PHEV status. It has a 1998cc engine which translates to a 2.0-liter displacement and is assisted by electric motors that have a maximum output of 120 kW or 163 PS. It also has a lithium ternary battery pack which gives the Tank 500 Hi4-T the ability to travel on electric power.
Size-wise, the full-size electrified SUV measures 5078mm long, 1905mm wide, 1934mm tall, and will have a 2850mm wheelbase. It also has a ground clearance of 320mm which will make it more than capable when going off-road.

Exact output specifications are not yet available. However, a quick look at what other markets get has given us a good idea of what to expect. In the PRC, the plug-in hybrid Tank 500 has a combined system output of 635 kW or 863 PS and a whopping 1,195 Nm of pull. It can sprint from 0 - 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and has a total system range of nearly 1,100 km based on the WLTC cycle.
The lithium ternary battery supports up to 163 kW fast charging which means it can be recharged from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes. This translates to less downtime when you need to top up the battery on a long journey.
With the Tank 500 PHEV already certified by the LTO, we won’t be surprised if the vehicle could somehow debut at MIAS 2025 next month at the World Trade Center Manila.
