German-based Geiger Cars pays tribute to the Willys with custom Jeep Wrangler

The Willys Jeep, an icon from World War 2 (WW2), has just been given a fitting tribute courtesy of its spiritual successor, the Jeep Wrangler. It's called the Geiger-Willys Jeep and it was made possible by German-based tuning shop Geiger.

It's based off the outgoing JK Wrangler and comes with an army-inspired finish, inside and out.

Immediately apparent on the custom 4x4 is the Army-style green paint job that gives it an authentic look. Like the original WW2 vehicle, it also gets matching logos and lettering throghout its body. No hard tops here as the Geiger-Willys also comes with a soft-top roof.

Other exterior add-ons that were fitted on the custom Wrangler include: olive green painted steel wheels and flared wheel arches, Rugged Ridge front and rear steel bumpers, front-mounted power winch, 265/70/R17 off-road tires, a sound flap exhaust system and a reinforced spare tire carrier.

Inside the Geiger-Willys, everything pretty much remains the same from the factory stock Wrangler. However, the seats are now covered in the same olive green hue as from the outside.

Under the hood, the Geiger-Willys is powered by the familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that can be mated to either a five-speed automatic or six-speed manual. Power is retained at 290 PS at 6400 rpm and 353 Nm of torque at 4800 rpm.

Each Geiger-Willys Jeep will be priced at EUR 68,900 (about Php 4.1 million). Only ten units will be made in total.
