Have you been itching to get your hands on the all-new Suzuki Jimny? Now is your chance to actually test one before it officially goes on sale in the country.

After being previewed at the 2018 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), Suzuki Philippines is giving interested customers a chance to get behind the wheel of the much-awaited 2019 Jimny. From November 15 – 18, Suzuki's little 4x4 is available for test driving at this year's Auto Focus Pre-Christmas Test Drive Festival.

First launched back in July, the next-generation Jimny features a retro-modern design inside and out, along with a new engine and drivetrain. It keeps its boxy design from before and is complemented by the signature five-slat grill at the front. Meanwhile, old-school style headlights give the Jimny its distinct face. Like the exterior, the cabin gets the same design treatment with its blend of both old and new styling elements.

Under the hood, the 2019 Jimny is powered by a 1.5-liter K15B inline-four that puts out 102 PS and 130 Nm of torque. Power is then transferred to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. A new four-wheel drive system dubbed AllGripPro allow the Jimny to switch from 2WD to 4WD in an instant. As before, a low-range transfer box comes as standard to make going through the rough terrain that much easier.

While Suzuki has yet to finalize the local specification for the Philippines, we won't be surprised if the 2019 Jimny comes with very similar specs to the Japanese model. The all-new Jimny is expected to arrive in the country by Q2 2019.

Apart from the all-new Jimny, Suzuki also has test drive units of their latest models. These include the Swift, Dzire and the Vitara. Beyond Suzuki, the bi-annual test drive festival also features other brands like Honda, Isuzu, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Ford, Ssangyong, Mazda, Subaru, MG and Peugeot.

The 2018 Auto Focus Pre-Christmas Test Drive Festival is being held at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds and is open to the public from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM.
