Subaru PH thinks it’s time to show love to watch fanatics

The holidays are just around the corner, and the season of gift-giving is in full swing. As it happens, 2020 also marks the 30th anniversary of Subaru’s venerated STI badge. Of course, Motor Image Pilipinas, Subaru’s official distributor in the Philippines, wants in on the holiday cheer. So, they’re making access to the limited watches easy and free to their customers who would purchase any Subaru vehicle this month.

Based on the 2019 Citizen Sports Chronograph, the timepiece has a 42mm case and features an STI red cherry line on the outer circle of the dial, with the dial itself coming in a “carbon fiber” finish. To properly identify it as a commemorative watch, “STI” badging and stamping can be found on the sub-dial, the crown, as well as on the bracelet clasp. As mentioned, it is a chronograph, and this Eco-Drive watch functions with precision of up to 1/5 of a second.

In its home market of Japan, this STI anniversary watch retails at JPY 60,000 (roughly PHP 30,000) excluding taxes, so you’re definitely getting a collector’s piece here.

If watches aren’t the customer’s thing, they can opt for 1-year insurance coverage for free instead. If that’s not enough, Service Vouchers worth PHP 20,000 will also be given to customers who purchase a Forester (GT Edition, 2.0i-S, or 2.0i-L variants) or an XV (GT Edition, 2.0i-S, or 2.0i variants). To top it all off, Subaru is giving huge discounts for cash purchases.

You can visit your nearest Subaru dealership to check these deals out yourself. After all, it’s time to get yourself something special for the holidays, right?
