Tumi and McLaren expand partnership to new exclusive luggage collection

When it comes to bags, briefcases, and luggage sets, Tumi needs little introduction. The brand's products are stylish, durable, and, more importantly, easy to match with any attire. Their latest collection, however, caters to car enthusiasts and the like. Specifically, their new lineup was created in collaboration with British supercar builder McLaren.

But Tumi and McLaren’s partnership isn’t all new. The two companies first announced they would be working together back in 2019. Now, we get to see the result of their works. Tumi’s Creative Director Victor Sanz and Rob Melville, McLaren’s supercar Design Director, worked together to create a premium capsule collection of business, travel, and everyday essentials.

Tumi’s new McLaren capsule collection is comprised of nine pieces. The company says each one encompasses elements of McLaren’s sleek, bold supercars and race cars. Better yet, they’re all highlighted with McLaren’s signature Papaya colorway and feature CCX6 carbon fiber accents.

Some of the key travel pieces include the Aero International Expandable 4 Wheel Carry-On and the Quantum Duffel. The carry-on is crafted using a variety of materials, including those used in McLaren’s race cars. The interior of the bag even takes design cues from various McLaren supercars. In particular, the compression strap is inspired by the six-point harness track-only models like the Senna GTR.

Other notable selections include the Velocity Backpack. It was created to keep wearers connected all day long thanks to the inclusion of a USB port and padded laptop compartment. Meanwhile, the Torque Sling and Lumin Utility Pouch are perfect for light-carry and hands-free days. Completing the kit are the Orbit Small Packing Cube, Trace Expandable Organizer, and split compartment Teron Travel Kit.

The Tumi x McLaren collection is now available on their website and at Tumi’s global retail stores. It is also offered at select McLaren retailers globally. If you happen to own a McLaren, then this Tumi collection should be in your collection too.
