Auto Care Racing (ACR) Team Cebu's Warren Go set the new All-Motor Honda 1/4-mile record with a blistering run of 11.785-seconds at 114.21 miles per hour at the South Reclamation Project (SRP) Dragstrip in Cebu during the Full Throttle event held on July 3-4. Go's run shatters the record previously held by Ric Wee of Autoplus (12.01@112.80mph) set in February of 2002. The record run also gives Go bragging rights for Quickest Four-Cylinder All Motor, and First All-Motor Honda in the 11's.
"We are very happy with the result which was a combination of Warren's consistent driving, good teamwork, and a very good engine built by Mato Tan of Matonetics," said Mr. Alfred Yap, Team Manager of ACR.
Yap also related that they only finished putting together the car on Friday early morning and had no time to do a break-in. The shakedown run for the car was done on the practice session of the race on Saturday.
